My Life as a Realtor – Day 238

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 238:

Lot’s of work to do again today  and I’m happy to report that the rain and clouds are gone and it is an absolute gorgeous day!!  Spring isn’t until Saturday, although it has arrived today – Yeah!

Here is a pic of a beautiful – and thawed – Ball Pond

As I made my way to the office, I realized quickly that I was over dressed.  This happens every Spring –  I’m afraid of being cold, so I still wear turtle necks and coats and sweat my buns off!

After going to the office, I stopped at A&P in Brewster – yes, FOOD SHOPPING AGAIN!

When I arrived home, my mom and David had made a wonderful dinner – our very 1st barbecue of the season – and – we even ate outside…

My Life as a Realtor – Day 196

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 196:

Today it was back to Bridgeport, CT so that Melissa could show proof that she had insurance during the time of her accident – since the lovely police officer that showed up after Melissa skidded during a nor’easter and her tire ended up under her car!! – decided to give her a ticket!  So, after the aggravation, time and energy spent worrying, Melissa received no fine and the ticket dismissed.  The one and only good thing that came out of this, is the time we spent together driving in the car.

Then, back home to work – work – work – …  So glad I LOVE what I do!  Sometimes, while I drive around during errands or appointments, I’ll snap pictures.  Here is a pic of kids skating on Ball Pond in New Fairfield

All while talking, texting and e-mailing clientsI love my phone, I love my phone, I love my phone…  To be able to assist all of my clients from anywhere and everywhere is awesome!  How did we ever manage without cell phones

Oh, I remember when I was pregnant with Amanda – who is now 17.   Two weeks before my due date,  my husband was at a soccer game about an hour away – and of course, I go into labor and Joe has no cell phone!  In the end, it all work out – my sister, Lisa, who was also expecting ~ her son Derek ~ came and stayed with Melissa – who was 3 1/2 – and David – who was 1 1/2.  My brother-in-law, Richie,  drove me to the hospital – where all the nurses mistook him for my husband and kept wanting to examine me with him in the room!  Miraculously, my contractions seemed to slow down – I think Amanda decided to wait for her daddy before making her dramatic entrance – so, I was told to go take a walk around the hospital halls.  Poor Richie came with me – wobble, wobble – down the hall I went – and to my surprise, when I reached the end of one of the hallways where the elevators were – the doors opened and there was my Joe – soak and wet due to a terrible rain storm during the game – but he was there and Amanda was born – healthy, happy and  beautiful!

SSPX0586View of Ball Pond from my listing on Hudson Drive in New Fairfield – a child on the docks and 2 others in a canoe –                                                                            Priceless!

When I arrived home – the kids gave me the great news that we had no electric.  My neighbor called and that confirmed that our entire block was out.  It was still daylight, but I made sure to have candles and matches ready.  Although, it wasn’t necessary, since in less than 2 hours, the electric was back on – Yahoo!

I got back to work – and at around 9:30 last night – BLACKOUT – no electric again.  I could hear the utility trucks going up and down our block, so I knew the problem was being worked on.  And after just a short time, all was back on again.

My Life as a Realtor – Day 24

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 24:

After a good night sleep – all 5 1/2 hours!  I started the day with calls from agents and clients – fed the critters, took care of some house cleaning and started some work on the computer until – no internet connection!  Oh, no – no – no…  that is not good.  My lap top, cell phone and camera are my life, my life as a Realtor.  So, after attempting to repair the service myself, and saying a few nice-so-nice words, I called Charter Cable and within minutes, service was on and I got back to work…  for only 20 minutes!

David had to be at Putnam Hospital for post-op work for his surgery on Monday.

Was very happy to see my new listing in New Fairfield come on the market.  While I was out with the homeowner searching for a new home, her listing was e-mailed to me, which I viewed on my phone.

Ball Pond – New Fairfield, Connecticut

Ball Pond in New Fairfield, CT is just minutes from my house – so, I have the pleasure of passing it a few times a day.  Spring time is my favorite since the grass, trees and flowers surrounding the pond have blossomed, and life is back with the ducks, geese and people in canoes and fishing.

Just one of the pleasures of living in New Fairfield, CT!
