My Life as a Realtor – Day 169

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 169:

CLOSING DAY for my client!!

The closing was held in Carmel, NY at Attorney William Shillings office.  Here are a few pics I took as I drove in Carmel

A beautiful sunny day

Just a few minutes away from the attorney’ s office – I can see “The Retreat” on the horizon

Then past Lake Gleneida

and the Historic Putnam Court House

After the closing, my client was extremely excited and it was also exciting for me to be a part of this.  As we said our goodbyes, I noticed a plaque on the wall…

“It’s a Wonderful Life” – One of my favorite movies and sayings!

My Life as a Realtor – Day 168

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 168:

It is only the beginning of winter and I am already wishing for Spring to come quickly!

Although, there are some benefits to the winter season…. snow!  Today, I had a final walk-thru with my client.  Making sure all was well with the home before taking over ownership.  He is a first time home buyer, purchasing on his own and what a great house he is purchasing with loads of potential.  During the walk-thru, which was in the evening, we noticed some foot – or more like paw prints in the snow.  There were 3 different types and we tried to figure out if one belonged to a cat, maybe another to a deer and a racoon??

My client is a NYC PO – I am sure he will soon figure it out!

My Life as a Realtor – Day 6

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 6:

There was so much to do today… contact a few agents regarding their listings – getting my oldest son, David, ready for his trip to North Carolina – he’s driving… I’m taking deep, deep breathes right now – Oh! and I submitted an offeran over asking price offer – on a foreclosure.  My clientfirst time homebuyer – was fantastic!  Everything that got thrown at her today, she took care of it quickly and always laughing – “What is meant to be, will be”  – was her positive attitude.  This is how I feel we should go through life always saying…. “What is meant to be, will be.”

OK, them I flew to A & P in Brewster, NY – remember, 5 kids – I mean 5 eating machines – so I spend many, MANY hours in supermarkets every week.  As a family, we eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and always have a big dinner together.  Today, I grilled steaks and made potatoes, peas, salad and Portuguese rolls.  A very quick dinner while working on the offer and calming my other first time home buyerwho’s closing is tomorrow!!!

Going to School in New Fairfield, Connecticut

blog-030

As Spring is blooming and buzzing all around us, more and more people are out shopping for a Home.

One very important question that every buyer should ask their Realtor is for a School Report.  Whether you have children or not, buying in an area with a good school system is also important for re-sale purposes.  Since you may want to sell your home in a few years to buyers that are interested in the school’s.

To learn about New Fairfield School’s, <CLICK> or New Fairfield High School.

Most school reports can be e-mailed to you – and most schools have their own website.  Need assistance?  I’ll be happy to help. Or – HomeFair.com has free school reports on line.
